Explosive divorce detail! Disagreement on separation date

The former dream couple Joshua Jackson and Jodie Turner-Smith actually agree on most aspects of their divorce. However, a discrepancy could cause a spark.
The news of the separation of Jodie Turner-Smith, 37, and Joshua Jackson, 45, hit like a bomb at the beginning of October 2023. According to the US news portal “TMZ”, the actress filed for divorce due to “irreconcilable differences” after five years of relationship, four years of marriage and a daughter together. She is said to have “taken Joshua by surprise” with this, an insider told Us Weekly shortly afterwards.

The “Dawson’s Creek” star nailed it. After a month of deliberation, he has now responded to Jodie Turner-Smith’s divorce petition. The legal documents available to the US celebrity portal “The Blast” show that Joshua Jackson not only agrees to the grounds for divorce, but also to joint custody of daughter Juno Rose Diana, 3. In addition, both parties agree on to waive mutual maintenance claims.
What happened in the 17 days between their two breakup dates?
But there’s a catch – and a pretty big one: Turner-Smith and Jackson disagree about exactly when they separated. Her divorce petition lists September 13th as Datum – six days after their last appearance together in New York.

However, the Canadian actor’s statement of claim, which can now be viewed, states September 30th. A difference of 17 days, i.e. two and a half weeks, during which Joshua Jackson still thought the two were a couple.
Didn’t Jackson want the marital home?
Maybe “The Affair” actor didn’t want to believe it was over? Apparently things have been brewing with his estranged wife for a long time. Despite their perceived passion for each other, the family corset is said to have restricted free spirit Jodie.
““She refused to settle for something that didn’t feel right,” claimed according to US Weekly another voice from the ex-couple’s orbit. But Jackson is said not to have recognized the seriousness of the situation. Another insider claimed: “He obviously didn’t realize it was so bad and Jodie was so unhappy.”
