“Jouissance club was born from a desire for sexuality education, and the transmission of new visual cues”

It is here about masturbation, orgasm, cunnilingus and fellatio; we also evoke the prostate, vaginismus and even love… Nothing escapes the line of the Marseillaise Jüne Pla, creator of the account Jouissance.club on Instagram and author of the resulting book. On her very popular account – she has nearly a million subscribers – the illustrator shares her drawings with one objective: to popularize an inventive, creative and benevolent sexuality. Attentive ear, meticulous observer, curious explorer, the young woman poses drawings to arouse sexual creativity, with a concern for explanation in a “instruction manual”.

What is your background ?

I was born and raised in Marseille in a middle-class family, with my three older brothers. I quickly got a taste for drawing: I never saw myself doing anything else. I passed a BTS in applied arts, then I joined the Emile-Cohl art school in Lyon, where I learned to perfect my line. I then worked for the world of animated films, video games, then in advertising, a lot, as a designer, storyboarder, illustrator. Finally, I am now a 38-year-old mother.

How was the Jouissance.club Instagram account born?

Jouissance club was born from a long reflection on my sexuality. Since my youth, I have enjoyed sex very much while having a propensity to get bored after a while. I collected lovers looking for that little thing I missed until I met Nicky when I was 20. He showed me things no other man seemed to understand. In 2018, I met Takumi, who was easy to communicate with on this subject. He asked me lots of questions and instead of answering him with words, one day I drew him a picture. I have trouble speaking: I know what I’m thinking, but I don’t know how to explain it with words… It seemed natural to me to make him understand by the means of expression that I master, drawing . I wanted to show that we could be more creative than being content with simple penetration to go further and be less bored. From there was born Jouissance.club: it was the idea I had been looking for for fifteen years.

What was your biggest audience success?

I remember the day my account was censored, in 2019, probably due to mass reports since my account was about sex, it had the opposite effect to that expected. Thanks to the support of other feminist accounts and the media, Instagram reopened my account and I gained tens of thousands of followers within days.
