Journey to the Savage Planet gets next-gen versions coming soon

Journey to the Savage Planet was released 3 years ago now, and after a DLC Hot Garbage proposed a few months later, a release on Switch in stride and on PC a year after its release, only new generation versions were missing to satisfy the players of this wacky adventure. It is now done since Employee of the Month Editionalready available on (late) Stadia, will land on February 14 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S with significant improvements.

Initially developed by Typhoon Studios headed by the very talkative Alex Hutchinson, then bought by Stadia just before the game’s release, the creator and part of his team created a new studio following the announcement of the Cloud service’s closure. Gaming, Racoon Logic, and took advantage of it buy intellectual property rights from Google. What hope for a new opus in a few years?

I’m freaking out!

It was through a tweet and a press release that we learned the news. From February 14, this edition will therefore be available free of charge for all owners of the base game (on PlayStation 4 and on Xbox One therefore) and this, even if you had not purchased the DLC which is therefore offered to you by the same opportunity.

Journey to the Savage Planet Edition Employee of the Month will also offer graphics up to 4K (native or upscaled) depending on the platform, we are thinking here of the Xbox Series S), but also additions to advertisements, videos of Martin Tweed your boss, as well as to the photo mode which is boosted here, not to mention the arrival of the 60 FPS mode (30 FPS on Xbox Series S) since you can choose between the Graphics or Performance modes, you are now used to it.

Note, however, that saves from your previous copies of the title cannot be transferred to this new edition, which will also be completely separate from the previous game on the Store. No upgrade planned on PC and Nintendo Switch, however. You will also need to redownload the entire game and start a new game to benefit from these technical improvements.

Finally, for those who don’t own the game (but what are you waiting for!) and who would like to start the experience, this Employee of the Month edition will be available for €29.99. While waiting for the release, we invite you to immerse yourself in our test as well as in the complete solution of the game to be ready in 3 weeks.
