Moment of nostalgia. Six years ago, to celebrate his 80th birthday, Don Juan Carlos had orchestrated a sumptuous party at the Zarzuela Palace. What few people know is that just a few days later, the father of King Felipe VI organized a second celebrationbringing together more than two hundred loyal guests, all keepers of the secret of this unexpected evening. Today, at the dawn of his 86th birthday, Don Juan Carlos wishes repeat the experience.
The memory of this day is so pleasant that he even wishes that the singing duo Los del Río would be present again, as in 2018. People close to the former monarch revealed to Vanitatis that nothing had been done yet, the flamenco duo doing everything possible to be free and able to travel to Abu Dhabi on the scheduled date. As for the guests, it seems that the former head of the royal household, Fernando Almansa, the former head of the CNI, Félix Sanz Roldán, his family doctor, Manuel Sánchez, and the journalist Carlos Herrera were invited. The presence of big businessmen has not yet been confirmed, although the Koplowitz sisters and the writer Mario Vargas Llosa have also received an invitation.
