Currently in pre-trial detention, Cédric Jubillar remains in the crosshairs of investigators, especially after the remarks he allegedly made to his former co-detainee, a character apart within the prison.
This Wednesday, Source code, the Parisian podcast, provides an update on the Jubillar affair, since the disappearance of Delphine Jubillar on the night of December 15 to 16, 2020. In pre-trial detention in Seysses prison since June 18, although presumed innocent, Cedric Jubillar approached his co-detainee. Placed in solitary confinement, not as a disciplinary measure but because of its strong media coverage, the former craftsman sympathized with an inmate placed in the cell adjoining his. This man named Marco is depicted as “quite feared and respected by his neighbors.”
On this man filter only little information. We know, however, that he is Corsican and has been extradited at the beginning of August from Portugal to France. The 30-year-old seems to be linked to organized crime in Corsica and this is not his first stay in prison according to a source from the Parisian : “he would have spent more than ten years in detention.“The man seems to be treated differently from other prisoners. He never moves, for example. alone but well”under the escort of supervisors“and he’s handcuffed. This particular regime seems to intrigue the various inmates,”what creates, singularity, difference and respect.“

In the end, the man did not remain Cédric Jubillar’s cell neighbor for long and in September, he asked to be heard by the investigators in charge of the Jubillar case. Thus, during an interview with a member of the prison administration, he explains that he “important revelations to make.“Following these confessions, new excavations were carried out, without success, to find the body of Delphine Jubillar. Cédric Jubillar, he says he regrets having confided to his former neighbor that the body of his wife would be buried “near a tree near a burned down farm” in the village of Cagnac-les-Mines.
