Jubillar case: the Court of Appeal rejects Cédric’s request for release

VSEdric Jubillar remains in prison. The investigation chamber of the Toulouse Court of Appeal rejected, this Friday, January 14, the third request for release for the husband of Delphine Jubillar, imprisoned since June and main suspect in the investigation aimed at elucidating the disappearance of his partner. “The refusal to release has been confirmed by the Court of Appeal,” one of Cédric Jubillar’s lawyers, Alexandre Martin, told reporters, who has already pleaded several times for the release of his client. .

“I take note of it. […] At the end of the hearing on February 11, we will make a new request for release, ”reacted Jean-Baptiste Alary, who has been defending the 34-year-old plasterer painter since the end of 2020. Tuesday January 11, for the third time since he was imprisoned, the three lawyers for Delphine Jubillar’s husband had demanded the release of their client before the investigating chamber of the Toulouse Court of Appeal, considering that there was no not enough evidence against him.

Delphine and Cédric Jubillar were in the process of divorce and the investigators are convinced of the husband’s involvement in the disappearance of his wife, on the night of December 15 to 16, 2020. They favor the thesis of a violent argument in their house of Cagnac-les-Mines, in the Tarn, during which Cédric allegedly killed his wife, 33, before hiding his body. The investigating judges in charge of the case summoned Cédric Jubillar for a new interrogation on February 11.
