Suddenly being in the public eye – and that’s because you’ve kissed a famous soccer player. Influencer Julia Gauly had to experience this. Now the 26-year-old is speaking about this experience for the first time.

In April, the press knew almost no other topic than the love chaos surrounding Mats Hummels, 33. GNTM winner Céline Bethmannm 24 revealed on Instagram that she had a date with him. And the athlete is said to have also hooked up with table tennis player Lisa Straube, 21. In May, Mats was spotted kissing Julia Gauly in Mallorca. Because Julia married her boyfriend Christoph Gass just a few weeks later, the model received a proper shitstorm. Now she and her husband explain in an interview with the newspaper “Die Rheinpfalz” that they have an open marriage.

Julia explains how it came about: “It started with the fact that I knew he was the man I wanted to be with forever, but wanted to gain other experiences. I spoke openly to him about it and then it happened bit by bit.”

Julia does not have a good memory of the time when she received so much more negative attention from the public: “In the beginning it wasn’t funny. But you noticed that it was a topic of conversation for two or three days and then a thousand other things came back Topic. As fast as something like this comes, it will be over as soon as it happens.”

The particularly stupid thing about the situation: Julia’s and Christoph’s friends knew about the open marriage, but their families didn’t yet. “It took a while for them to understand that. I think it’s okay now,” says Christoph. And because everyone knows anyway, the two also talk about it in public – not only in the interview, but also in their podcast “EHEplus”.
