For two years, Julia Vignali and Thomas Sotto shared the presentation of the show Telematinon France 2. But for the 48-year-old host, it is now time to turn to new professional adventures, since it is she who will succeed Sophie Davant, from August 28, 2023, in the auction show Deal done. As she confided in an exclusive interview with TV 7 daysMonday August 14, 2023, “Sophie will be present on the air when she first comes, in order to officially pass the baton to her”. During this interview, Julia Vignali also took the opportunity to restore the truth about her disagreement with Thomas Sotto. Indeed, his departure from Telematin came after rumors suggested there was tension between the two of them. Kad Merad’s wife therefore reacted and made things clear once and for all: “It wasn’t tension, I’m just a partner who sticks to his ideas“. “When Delphine Ernotte (General Manager of France Television) hired me, she wanted a partner duo. She got it!”, she then exclaimed. She was also delighted to know that Marie Portolano will replace her, since she felt that the latter “comes for the same reasons”.

She described Thomas Sotto’s future screen partner as being “a woman who has feminist convictions”before adding: “We are in 2023, you have to know how to impose yourself, and Marie will do it very well”. For her part, these two years of mornings allowed Julia Vignali to become “combative”, she confided.
