After undergoing a first DNA test to find out if she was Maddie McCann, 21-year-old Julia Wendell wants to do another one.
Julia Wendell does not let go of anything. Since February, the 21-year-old German claims to be Maddie McCanna 4-year-old girl who disappeared while on vacation in Praia da Luz, Portugal, with her parents in May 2007. To prove it, the young woman relied on physical similarities she had with the little girl, like moles in similar places, or even an eye mark identical to that left by an ocular coloboma that little Maddie carried.
Julia Wendell had moreover tried to get in touch with his supposed parents, Kate and Gerry McCann. The young German then subjected to a DNA test. A test that proves thatshe’s not Maddie McCann. According to The Mirror, the test revealed that she was Polish. “She has some Lithuanian and Russian blood, but tests show she’s Polish“said Fia Johansson, private investigator and medium close to the teenager. Following this result, Julia Wendell made a point of apologize to Maddie’s parents who are experiencing the situation very badly.

A new DNA test requested
“It was not my intention to bring sadness or any other negative emotion to anyone, especially McCann’s family. I never said I was Madeleine McCann. […] It’s my fault, I know it and I am sorry for that, I should have said Am I Madeleine McCann? and not I am,” Julia Wendell wrote in a 17-page long social media post shared on April 14.
However, Julia Wendell does not seem to want to stop there since according to the Daily Starthe young woman announced, this Sunday, April 16, his wish to undergo a DNA test again. “I wanna do this ’cause I just wanna do this and I don’t even need to explain why but I think everyone knows why I want to do this. When the results come in, I’ll let you know everything”, she wrote on her Instagram account according to the media.
A reversal of the situation which is not surprising since, according to a friend of Julia’s biological mother, the young woman suffers”for many years” of “serious mental health issues” who would push her to lie regularly about her identity. According to DailyMailso she is not on her first try since before pretending to be Maddie McCann, she pretended to be three other missing girls. Julia Wendall therefore thought to be Inga Gehricke, a 5-year-old child who disappeared in 2015 in Germany, then Acacia Bishop who disappeared at the age of 19 months in 2003 in Utah in the United States, and more recently Livia Schepp, who disappeared at the age of 6 in 2011.
