So much so that his spontaneity and freshness can sometimes play tricks on him! Thursday February 18, 2021, while a technical incident "unpublished" prevented Marie-Sophie Lacarrau to present his daily newspaper on TF1, Claire Fournier's husband, rubbed his hands. And for good reason, the young journalist, obviously aware of the failure on the competing channel, allowed himself a small ironic remark at the end of the journal. Words that did not please some viewers …

"When we are wrong, we must admit it"

1 p.m. sharp. Marie-Sophie Lacarrau, confused, asks forgiveness from her loyal viewers … then returns the air. We can therefore easily imagine that the French in front of their television set immediately zapped to the next channel, France 2, to the delight of Julian Bugier. Indeed, thirty-eight minutes later, the latter declares: "Thank you for your loyalty. Welcome to our new viewers, many, it seems, today ". A touch of humor that did not surprise the regulars of the channel, but which was visibly judged out of place by the faithful of Jean-Pierre Pernaut's replacement …

An hour after the end of his 1 p.m. newscast, Julian Bugier posted an apology on his Twitter account: "My few words today at the end of the France 2 newspaper have obviously been misunderstood. It was humor, awkward. When we are wrong, we must admit it. My apologies to our friends from TF1", said the journalist and friend of Marie-Sophie Lacarrau. In comments, Internet users were lenient, granting him this joke "that does no harm in these difficult times". It's forgotten !
