Ex-BVB kicker Julian Weigl becomes a father for the first time. His childhood sweetheart and wife Sarah Richmond is pregnant.
Baby news from Julian Weigl (25) and his wife Sarah Richmond (23): The couple are expecting children for the first time. "Our family is growing!" Wrote the professional footballer to a picture of the two on Instagram. The ex-BVB star hugs his wife lovingly. Beaming with joy, he directs his eyes to Richmond's slightly arched stomach, in front of which the presenter is holding a small cap. Richmond shared the same pictures and commented on the post: "I love our future".
Richmond is already in its fifth month
The "Bild" newspaper revealed that Richmond was five months pregnant. "As soon as I found out, all emotions are through me once. From euphoric to incredulous. Then I was just happy to share the news with Julian," she said. Weigl then "couldn't get the grin off his face". They did not want to reveal yet whether the kicker and the presenter can look forward to a boy or a girl.
Weigl and Richmond have been a couple since 2011. In September of this year, the two tied the knot in Portugal. The former international is currently on the pitch for Benfica Lisbon. Richmond works as a presenter on Super RTL.
