Julie de Bona: her very surprising secrets about her difficult childbirth and “on her knees”

Tuesday, December 27, Julie de Bona participated in the show Instinct animal. The opportunity for the actress to confide in her childbirth.

It’s a brand new program. On Tuesday December 27, 2022, France 2 broadcast the first episode ofanimal instinct in which Julie de Bona participated. The actress then returned to her private life and notably mentioned her childbirth. The actress, moved to see a female chimpanzee building her nest for her children, listens carefully to the words of a scientist. “They are very, very close to us, we are from the same family. (…) They have the same spectrum of emotions: rage, joy, sadness, joy. They have humor, they laugh”. And Julie de Bona can only note that “the mother is very protective” towards her children.

Faced with this magnificent spectacle of nature, the actress then wondered how her chimpanzee mothers managed to give birth to their young. “It’s very difficult (to witness this scene, editor’s note) because they often hide. In the wild world, it’s more like something secret, a birth”explains Perrine Crosmary. “Does that remind you of your own motherhood too?” the journalist then asks him. The opportunity was then too good for Julie de Bona who indulges in a few confidences. “My delivery was… I loved it! I make everyone laugh when I say that, but I loved it so much when at the beginning I said: ‘Ah no, me, I don’t give birth!’ My boyfriend was laughing and saying to me: ‘Well yes, darling, we’re going to have to give birth.’ He takes me to the maternity ward, but I said I didn’t want to give birth because I was scared.”

Confidences with open heart

Unfortunately, the good mood of the actress quickly changed, when in the maternity ward, nothing goes as planned. “At one point, when we were in a bad position, we had to do a caesarean section. My primitive instinct kicked in and I screamed, ‘Nonnnn! Leave me alone! I’m going to put myself in another position. Anyway, this is zero.’ The doctor said: ‘OK, we listen to the mother, she knows.’ There I got down on my knees. I loved that moment because it was so animalistic and to get him out in two minutes was powerful. And I was the one who got my son out. That was the great animal moment of my life”, remembers Julie de Bona. “I felt, ‘All the women have done it.’ In fact, I did not ask myself any more questions, I believe that this is the key to life”.
