fun, news, tips… what else?

It is now official, Julien Bayou has just announced his resignation in a press release, following accusations of violence made by his ex-wife.

After much controversy, Julien Bayou finally decided to retire and resign from his position as national secretary of the Europe Ecologie-Les Verts party. Accused of moral and psychological violence by his ex-wife, the deputy EELV explained in a press release this Monday, September 26, speaking “of an untenable situation” and “of a deleterious context“, which according to his words “prevent any discernment at a time when society is rocking“. Julien Bayou, who is also resigning from the presidency of the environmental group in the National Assembly, greatly deplores the situation and confides: “I am accused of facts which are not presented to me, of which my accusers-ices say that they are not criminally reprehensible, and of which I cannot therefore defend myself since they refuse to hear me.“Following his resignation, Julien Bayou nevertheless clarified that this decision does not “calls into question neither his mandate as a deputy nor his present and future commitment“.

Even before his resignation, following these serious accusations, Julien Bayou was withdrawn by his party. Guest on the show Grand Jury on RTL, this Sunday, September 25, the MEP for the Greens and former presidential candidate, Yannick Jadot, was clear. “For the serenity of the investigation“carried out by the unit against gender-based and sexual violence in Europe Écologie Les Verts,”it would be good for him to leave his position as co-president of the group in the National Assembly and for his withdrawal from the national secretariat of the party to be accelerated” he thus confided. As a reminder, Sandrine Rousseau had lifted the veil on this affair by revealing that she had received at her home a woman accusing the now ex-national secretary of EELV Julien Bayou of “behaviors likely to break the moral health of women“… Case to follow.
