Difficult for Julien to hide his disappointment. During the evaluations, which took place a little in advance this Monday, December 11, the academician decided to perform the song My pal by Daniel Guichard. With this title, the 24-year-old wanted pay tribute to his father, who died ten years ago. However, everything did not go as planned. In front of director Michael Goldman and the faculty, Julien has completely lost his means. “I’m sorry, can we start again? I have a huge memory lapse”, he then asked the teachers. However, after a second try, he once again lost track of the song. “I have a huge hole, I’m sorry”he explained.
A few hours after his performance, Julien expressed his frustration and his low morale to his comrade Djebril. “I was really down today. I’m not proud because, for me, I didn’t manage (…) on Saturday to make an exceptional bonus for the ten years since my father’s death. I wanted to make up for it by doing this for my brothers and sisters and it’s failed again.”he regretted in the daily newspaper of star Academy, broadcast this Tuesday, December 12 on TF1. From then on, Djebril tried to comfort him. “But you know, to fail does not mean not to pay homage. The intention was there, you know?” His performance not living up to his expectations, Julien preferred to isolate himself away from the cameras. “I lost my temper. I was crying like shit apologizing to my dad. I was really sore.”, he explained to Djebril. Once again, the 22-year-old did everything he could to reassure him. “Crying feels good. Letting go of everything feels good. It’s important so I understand”. Great support for Julien who is having a complicated week.

After his assessment, Julien did not join his comrades in the castle lounge. The budding artist preferred to slip away for a good hour. An absence that has not gone unnoticed by Star Academy fans. Faced with growing concern, Julien’s little sister spoke out on the social network X. “For those who are worried, Julien is in good hands. Please respect his emotions and not tarnish his image like this”, she soberly indicated. Eventually, the candidate reappeared during the theater class by Pierre de Maere. On the way to the singing room, Lénie came to give Julien a tender hug.
