Jung Ho-yeon started out as a model. “Squid Game” is her first acting role – and yet she is the most followed Korean actress in the world with 23.7 million Instagram followers. She couldn’t understand the hype about her person. “I don’t know why, but I couldn’t eat. I was so confused and it was so chaotic. I couldn’t believe it. I didn’t trust the whole thing,” explains the 27-year-old.
“I always wanted to go to Hollywood and act in the US, and I still want to,” says Jung Ho-yeon in the conversation. “Squid Game” has changed her attitude a little: “It doesn’t have to be a US film or a European film, the story and the message are much more important.”
