Because of the corona pandemic, the British jungle camp was filmed in Wales this year. The fans were apparently enthusiastic.

Maybe the celebrities won't have to fly to the Australian outback for the German jungle camp in the coming years. In Great Britain it is already becoming apparent that the British edition could possibly remain in Wales – at least if the fans have their way.

Because of the pandemic, the latest season of "I'm a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here!", The title of the British jungle camp version, was filmed at Gwrych Castle in North Wales. The English author, actress and blogger Giovanna Fletcher (35, "Star Kisses") was just able to win there. After the end of the new season, numerous fans are now demanding, according to British media reports, that the camp should continue to be recorded at the castle – or at least switch between Wales and Australia.

How is it in Germany?

It remains to be seen whether similar demands will arise after the German edition has been broadcast. At least there won't be a classic camp in early 2021. Because of the pandemic, "I'm a celebrity – get me out of here!" initially also be produced in Wales, but later RTL had to throw this plan overboard.

Instead of the jungle camp, "I am a star – The great jungle show" will be broadcast live on the channel every day from 10:15 p.m. on January 15th. Celebrities fight to move into the camp in 2022. The show is produced in Germany. Sonja Zietlow (52) and Daniel Hartwich (42) will moderate as usual and, among other things, examine highlights of the past seasons with studio guests. Jungle camp darling Dr. Bob is also flown in from Australia. The winner of the format will be the first celebrity, which will then be determined for 2022.
