The first week of jungle camp is over, day eight follows seamlessly: Kim Virginia continues to be the focal point of the drama.

Day eight of “I’m a Celebrity – Get Me Out of Here!” (also on RTL+) was a special one in previous seasons – after a week’s grace period, the first eviction was usually due. But because Cora Schumacher, 47, voluntarily said goodbye after just a few days, this cup once again passed the jungle campers – even if some stars increasingly wish that the camp could finally be thinned out by one controversial figure. Because even without an exit, there was a lot of drama again – thanks to the Queen.

Whether at the fire station, on the jungle telephone or during the “Grand Prix of Murwillumbah” test: Kim Virginia, 28, is and remains the number one topic – even if the entire camp decides not to talk about her anymore. Friday’s episode began with several attempts at harmony: First, Kim didn’t attack her best enemy Leyla Lahouar, 27, but rather approached her. The short exchange even ended in a fleeting hug.

Then Lucy Diakovska, 47, talked to Kim during their night shift and got to see her “vulnerable side”. But with the first rays of sun the next morning it was as if it was blown away and Kim once again chose to riot.

The test causes foreseeable trouble

“There are just people who are looking for stress,” was the basic tenor regarding Kim. After this episode at the latest, she can actually be said to have a certain willingness to argue: She was allowed to choose two competitors for her jungle test and, in addition to Twenty4Tim, 23, she unerringly chose Mike Heiter, 31, who then no longer lived up to his last name. Consequently, the two argued before, during and after the way to the challenge.

The “Grand Prix of Murwillumbah” was a classic: a blind driver (Kim) had to listen to the instructions of her deaf passenger (Mike), and the mute Twenty4Tim acted as a gesture-rich guide. In short: poor communication became even worse. Unsurprisingly, this led to the trio returning to camp with zero stars but a lot of frustration.

The question of all questions: Do viewers understand after the zero-star debacle and give Kim a break? Of course not, as the presenter duo Jan Köppen, 40, and Sonja Zietlow, 55, announced with their usual thieving joy at the end of the episode. She also has to tackle the next jungle test. This time without Mike, but certainly with drama again.
