It was around 2:30 a.m. on Sunday May 29 when the alert was given. A young 20-year-old driver, alone in his Peugeot 407 SW, lost control of his vehicle in Les Arsures while traveling in the direction of Salins-les-Bains Arbois.
He would have badly negotiated a curve in the heart of the village. He crossed an orchard below for about fifty meters, carrying a fence post before ending his race against a cherry tree.
The firefighters from Arbois intervened, then reinforced by their colleagues from Salins-les-Bains, including doctor-captain Thierry Devred, and the firefighters from Lorette (Mouchard), as well as the Samu from Dole, gave him first aid. The young man, originally from Cramans, had to be extricated from the car and then was airlifted to the Besançon CHRU in absolute urgency.
At this time, the circumstances of the accident are unknown.
