Jurassic Park, 30 years later: a French videographer returns to the film’s filming locations in Hawaii, and it’s magical!

30 years after the release of Jurassic Park, a French videographer set off to discover the filming locations of Steven Spielberg’s cult film, in Hawaii. A very nice video that will inevitably bring back beautiful memories.

It’s already been 30 years since the Jurassic Park saga hit the screens. From its legendary casting to its revolutionary special effects and its anthology scenes, the first milestone set by Steven Spielberg has become an essential in the history of cinema. A pioneering film in the use of computer-assisted images, it remained on display for 81 weeks in the United States.

Spielberg’s work may have been rebroadcast many times since its release, but it has not aged a bit. What about the fabulous sets and filming locations elsewhere, after so many years? A French videographer named Jo URBEX, went to Hawaii in the footsteps of the film. This is not his first attempt, since he had already previously gone to the filming location of Star Wars, in Tunisia.

On April 26, he posted his nearly 30-minute video report on his journey on his YouTube channel. Enough to revive beautiful memories. See below!

As he points out, some sets have since disappeared, other filming locations are very difficult to access. The report is really well done. In addition to being very well informed, he also intelligently mixes images from the making of the film, regularly providing before/after comparisons, whether for example for the legendary scene of the T-Rex tearing up the electric fence, or, he very arrival of the group led by scientist Alan Grant at the gates of Jurassic Park.

The nice bonus is that we also discover elements from the filming of another franchise, Kong: Skull Island.
