He confided in an interview with Guardian, who came to see him at his farm in New Zealand. After a first ineffective chemotherapy, he signed a contract with a pharmaceutical company to test a new drug “very expensive”, to be taken once a month for the rest of his life. And the treatment seems to work: “I’m not completely off the hook, but there is no more cancer in my body“he told the British media. “I’m not afraid to die, but it would bother mehe continued. Because I really wish I was a decade or two older.” In particular to see the trees he planted on his farm mature, and to see his grandchildren grow up. “But death, I don’t care at all”he assured.
