Jurassic World: Dominion: The blockbuster will be filmed again soon

Corona loosening is used all over the world, including in the film industry. The first major studio film to start shooting again is "Jurassic World: Dominion". In the second week of July, the Pinewood Studios should start again, as a production manager from Universal Studios confirmed the industry portal "Deadline". The film is one of the few major studio productions made in the UK.

Production costs rise

According to this, Universal was able to cost five million dollars to comply with the corona regulations: for the rest of the shooting time, everyone involved is tested on Covid-19 and a private medical center is set up on the studio grounds. There will be medical and nursing staff there, 150 disinfection stations will be set up on the site and over 1,800 information boards will be put up. At night, the entire area should be dusted with antiviral disinfectant mist.

Health is currently a priority

"We want to make sure that we do more than just stick to the standard requirements to create a safe environment," said the production manager. The main concern is therefore "not the cost, but the health."

In the UK, the government had already given the go-ahead for filming last month, but insurance issues in particular recently caused the restart to be delayed. Other affected productions include Disney's live action remake of "Arielle" and Warner Bros' "The Batman" and "Fantastic Beasts 3".
