Nicholas Hoult and Toni Collette will star in thriller Juror #2. Hollywood veteran Clint Eastwood is directing.

The main actors for Clint Eastwood’s (92) perhaps last film have been found: Nicholas Hoult (33, “The Menu”) and Toni Collette (50). This is reported by the industry journal “Deadline”. Accordingly, Hoult will fill the title role and Collette will play a prosecutor. Warner Bros. will officially give the film the green light as soon as the schedule and budget are set, the paper continues, citing insiders.

This is what “Judge #2” is about

One of the jurors at a murder trial (Hoult) is faced with an almost impossible dilemma: he discovers that he killed the alleged murder victim in a car accident. The juror is now attempting to save the defendant without incriminating himself.

The script, written by Jonathan Abrams, convinced Oscar winner Eastwood. In recent months, he has settled on casting Hoult in the title role and Collette as the prosecutor. According to the industry magazine, citing insiders, this is now almost fixed after Hoult initially hesitated.

Nicholas Hoult’s busy schedule

Nicholas Hoult hits theaters May 25 in the horror action comedy Renfield, and the third season of the Hulu series The Great, in which the Brit is starring, will be released in the same month. Last year he starred alongside Anya Taylor-Joy (26, “The Queen’s Gambit”) in the nasty satirical film “The Menu”. He is currently also shooting the remake “Nosferatu” by Robert Eggers (39, “The Northman”) with her. Now apparently there is also a thriller directed by Clint Eastwood.

Is Clint Eastwood Really Quitting?

It could even be the last film by Hollywood veteran Clint Eastwood. The strip is internally referred to as the last of his career, reports that Portal “Discussing Film”. Eastwood celebrates his 93rd birthday on May 31st. “Juror #2” would be his 40th film as a director after an already legendary acting career. He won Oscars for Best Director and Best Picture for “Unforgiven” in 1993, and received the same awards for “Million Dollar Baby” in 2005.
