Justin Bieber: That's how "Lonely" made him his early teen fame

Justin Bieber has released a very personal song with "Lonely". It becomes clear: his early fame not only brought him joy.

What is it like to look at your former self from the outside? Justin Bieber (26) knows the answer. In the music video for his new song "Lonely", which was released on October 16, the artist travels back in time as a teenager. He is played by the young actor Jacob Tremblay (14, "miracle"), who also comes from Canada and was in the spotlight at the age of seven.

Singer paid a heavy price for fame

The backstage area is deserted, as is the way to the stage. And in the concert hall with seating, there is only one person watching the young Justin Bieber from their seat – the 26-year-old Bieber from the here and now. In addition, the singer says: "I am so lonely. Everyone knows my past as if I had always been sitting in a glass house. And maybe this is exactly the price that you have to pay for all the money and fame in young age."

For Bieber, "Lonely" is not an easy track. "I went into the studio and sang it through, which was not easy," he writes on Instagram. Nevertheless, over time he realized "how important it is to tell this story! I realized that we all feel lonely sometimes!" The 26-year-old now wants to use his position to show the world "that it is powerful to show vulnerability". To see his former self, played by the "so talented" Tremblay, was very emotional for Bieber.
