Justin Townes Earle: US singer was only 38 years old

The US singer-songwriter Justin Townes Earle died at the age of only 38. His family announced the sad news.

The American singer-songwriter Justin Townes Earle ("Harlem River Blues"), son of country musician Steve Earle (65), has died at the age of 38. The relatives shared the sad news on both the Townes Earle's official Instagram and Facebook accounts. Nothing was disclosed about the cause of death.

The statement reads, among other things: "It is with great sadness that we have to tell you about the passing of our son, husband, father and friend Justin. So many of you have trusted his music and his lyrics and we hope that his music will continue to play on yours Travel directs. " At the end of the statement there is an excerpt from Townes Earle's song "Looking For A Place To Land" from 2014.

On Twitter, among other things, horror author Stephen King (72) expresses his grief over the early loss and writes: "Allegedly Justin Townes Earle died. I hope so much that it is a hoax, but I fear it is true. What a loss." Justin Townes Earle married his wife Jenn Marie in 2013. Four years later they had a daughter named Etta St. James Earle.
