Ronaldo is not allowed to fix double blunders
The good news for the fans of Juventus Turin: Superstar Cristiano Ronaldo continues to play for the club, despite all rumors. But the start of the new season fails. Because Ronaldo is not allowed to score and because the goalkeeper fails twice.
Two mistakes by goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny ruined the success coach Massimiliano Allegri’s return to the coaching bench of the dethroned soccer series champions Juventus Turin. The Polish Juve goalkeeper Szczesny was completely out of the role. First the 31-year-old caused the penalty for the Undine connection goal by Roberto Pereyra (51.), then he messed up the ball so that Gerard Deulofeu could score to equalize (83.). Juve took an early 2-0 lead through Paulo Dybala (3rd) and Juan Cuadrado (23rd). In the closing stages, Udine even had a chance for a third goal.
Allegri had led Juventus to five championships, four cup wins and two finals in the Champions League between 2014 and 2019. After that, Maurizio Sarri and club legend Andrea Pirlo could not build on their successes. For the first time in the Juve jersey, EM hero Manuel Locatelli, who came on as a substitute in the 90th minute, also appeared. The midfielder had come from Sassuolo Calcio.
Allegri’s most-noticed official act before the start of the new season was the resolute public clarification of his most prominent personality: “Cristiano told me that he will stay,” said the Juve coach at a recent press conference. Ronaldo always trained well. The 54-year-old Juve coach said he never expressed his will to leave. In the past few weeks, there have been constant rumors about the 36-year-old in the Italian media.
His contract with Juve will run until next year. The currently open transfer window will close at the end of August. There has already been speculation about Ronaldo that he will go back to Real Madrid or Manchester United. Paris Saint-Germain was also circulating as a possible new station. In a recent post on social media, Ronaldo warned not to play with his name.
