Rumors indicate this Tuesday that Astralis CS:GO player Rifleman Kristian “k0nfig” Wieneckewould be about to leave following a brawl in malta two weeks ago. According to the website Jaxon, the Danish professional player, who joined Astralis just under a year ago, would no longer be a member of the roster following of a disciplinary sanction.
The reason: a brawl that took place after an ESL Pro League S16 encounter in Malta and which would have led k0nfig to undergo a ankle fracture, announced by his team on September 20. The structure had to replace it at short notice (no pun intended) by MistR (of Astralis Talent) for the next matches of IEM Road to Rio RMR. Astralis has reportedly since placed global star dev1ce back on its tier-list to replace k0nfig, handing a big check to Ninjas in Pajamas which would require 1 million dollars for the buyout of the contract.
In reaction, this Tuesday morning, k0nfig explained that he had been contacted by Jaxon before the publication of the article but had asked to respect his privacy while specifying that the situation was not exact, without further details.
Jaxon contacted me with rumors that are mostly bullshit, and I asked them to respect privacy. Of course, they went ahead and even added stuff to the story, so I asked them not to contact me again. I’m in a lot of pain, but I hope to have the green light from the doctor to be able to come back soon!
According to Jaxon, if k0nfig remains in the roster and device arrives, it’s farlig who should leave the structure in the next few days. In any case, the Astralis team seems to want to remain 100% Danish again this year.
