Kaamelott quiz: complete Yvain’s lines

Are you unbeatable on the replicas next to the plate of Yvain, the somewhat stupid teenager from the Kaamelott series, played by Simon Astier?

Test yourself on the lines of Yvain’s character in the Kaamelott series! From his best spread to the reproaches to his parents through his misunderstandings in the face of Arthur’s instructions, check if you remember well his mythical passages in the show of Alexandre Astier.

In the series, Yvain is not yet “the lion knight” of the Arthurian legend. He is only the brother-in-law of Arthur, brother of Queen Guinevere and the son of Dame Séli and Léodagan. His best friend is Gawain, who is King Arthur’s nephew. Suffice to say that Yvain is one of the people who count in Kaamelott… or not!

Absent from the first part of Kaamelott in the cinema, Yvain is shown as a rather idiotic character in the series, and written as a young man in the midst of a teenage crisis. Capricious, in rebellion (soft) against his parents, not understanding much and pretending to be interested in what they are trying to instill in him, Yvain is not the most useful of the aspiring knights of Kaamelott for the quest for Grail.

He is played by Simon Astier, the half-brother of Alexandre Astier, who made a name for himself with his own series, Hero Corp, developed over 4 seasons with Xavier Matthieu and then very recently the fantastic comedy Visitors, released on Warner TV. Around Hero Corp, short-format miniseries have emerged: Archives, Klaus’ Way, Kyle’s Premonitions or The Survivors.

Simon Astier is also a director, and he has worked on Mortel for Netflix, Profiling and Alice Nevers. He also directed all eight episodes of Visitors. Will we see him again as an actor in the second part in two parts of Kaamelott at the cinema? Will Yvain become the lion knight? Will he be an adult and valiant hero who will come to support Arthur against all odds? To be continued !
