After 10 years of absence, King Arthur and his faithful knights were back last summer in the world of Kaamelott, transposed on the big screen for the First Part of the trilogy that Alexandre Astier had been promising his fans for several years. .

On this occasion, the creator of the famous series was able to put on the costume of Arthur Pendragon again, which he had not worn for a decade, but also lead his old comrades, joined by several newcomers.

On the occasion ofa digital meeting organized by Fnac last December, Kaamelott’s fans asked him how he had experienced this passage to the cinema, and also what was the sequence he preferred to direct.

“As a director, I think this is the first fight in the castle of Kaamelott with Clavier, Sting, Rollin, De Caunes…”thus answered Alexandre Astierevoking one of the first sequences of the film, during which King Loth, the jurisconsult, Horsa and Dagonet exchange flowery words around the map of Kaamelott.

“I love writing shouting matches, I’m not going to hide it. And suddenly we were in there. Keyboard put an impossible energy, Sting put a weight on the stage which was super useful and generous. So me , I was like a little fool with my big toy. I really liked that.”

This scene, which occurs from the first minutes of the feature film, opens the festivities in a way with one of the main ingredients of the series Kaamelott : an argument.
