After less than two minutes, the doorbell rang for the first time in the fourth duel in Klagenfurt – but it was quite controversial. VSV crack Rebernig brought KAC striker Witting down with his stick, pulled on goal and hit the cross corner. Shortly afterwards, KAC goalie Dahm was able to prevent the 0:2 by stopping a solo by Villach’s Hughes. Klagenfurt also had chances – but Fraser shot over it (4th), Ganahl failed to guest goalie Schmidt. On the other hand, Wallenta couldn’t sink a onetimer (16′). But the KAC got back to you. The teams gave nothing, but the goalies were able to prevent more goals. In the 40th minute, VSV crack Collins appeared alone in front of KAC goalie Dahm, but the Dane was the winner.
