Kacey Musgraves and Ruston Kelly had married in 2017 and are now getting a divorce. They announced this in a joint statement.
Kacey Musgraves (31, "Golden Hour") and her husband, musician Ruston Kelly (31), divorced. The Grammy winner announced on Instagram. In one story, the country singer shared a statement there about the separation, saying that they "made this painful decision together". The two had married in 2017.
With the explanation they wanted to forestall speculation. They also write, among other things: "The love that we have to each other goes far beyond the relationship that we have shared as husband and wife. It is a soul mate that can never be ended."
"We remain true friends"
Musgraves' story also reads: "We made this painful decision together – a healthy decision that was made after a very long time trying to do our best. It just didn't work.
