Football star Kai Havertz struggled with his corona infection for several weeks, as his coach has now revealed.

The German national player Kai Havertz (21) was infected with the corona virus in early November. Chelsea coach Frank Lampard (42) said in a press conference that Havertz had "really strong symptoms" and had to fight for "quite a while". "Not all players were hit so hard, some were symptom-free," said the coach, who gave Havertz two weeks before he was allowed to play again.

The "Bild" claims to have learned that the athlete had a fever and severe headache and sore throat during the illness, could no longer taste anything and was extremely limp. The kicker himself said in an interview with "Sport Bild" a few weeks ago about his illness: "It's important that everyone understands that it's not fun. We should take care of each other."
