from Coolidge™2, a major new version of its Coolidge™ 3 DPU processor

Based on Kalray’s patented MPPA® (Massively Parallel Processor Array) architecture, the Coolidge™2 processor was designed to deliver ever-higher performance in processing Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms and data in general . Thanks to Coolidge™2, Kalray intends to accelerate its growth, in particular in the field of Edge Computing and intensive storage.

In this race for performance, Kalray’s Coolidge™2 DPU processor stands out with its MPPA® architecture, which gives it unique capabilities, offering fine control over all neural network processing, from memory transfers to utilization of the processor’s computing capacities. Kalray teams have optimized each element to improve overall processor performance, demonstrating the efficiency of the Coolidge™2 processor architecture.

Thus optimized, Coolidge™2 will offer computing performance up to 10 times higher than that of the previous version. This improvement will for example be relevant for applications such as Deep Learning algorithms used in the context of neural networks applied to image processing.

Kalray has already announced the signing of a “jumbo contract” at the end of 2022

The first samples of Coolidge™2 will be available this summer.
