US Vice President Kamala Harris’ husband has tested positive for the corona virus.
Douglas Emhoff (57), the husband of US Vice President Kamala Harris (57), has tested positive for the corona virus. That’s what the “Second Gentleman” has posted on Twitter. “My symptoms are mild and I’m grateful to be both vaccinated and boosted,” said the 57-year-old.
In a statement Harris Deputy Press Secretary Sabrina Singh said: “The Vice President tested negative for Covid-19 today and will continue to be tested.” Nevertheless, she will not take part in an event “out of caution”. Harris was scheduled to attend an Equal Pay Day event at the White House Tuesday night.
Corona case in the White House
President Joe Biden, 79, and his wife Jill Biden, 70, have so far been spared the virus and are also reportedly testing themselves regularly. They are both vaccinated and boosted.
A few days ago, former US President Barack Obama (60) announced his corona infection. His wife Michelle Obama (58), on the other hand, tested negative. Obama used this opportunity to once again draw attention to vaccination.
