In principle, only fully vaccinated people are allowed to enter Australia. This also applies to Kanye West, as the premier made clear.

Only those who have been fully vaccinated – or who meet a few exception criteria – can enter Australia. Tennis star Novak Djokovic (34) only recently found out how serious the government down under is. He had to leave the country quickly after a farce about incorrectly filled out entry documents.

Possibly the next in the group: Vaccination skeptics and rapper Kanye West (44). The artist is planning in March according to a report in the Sydney Morning Herald a stadium tour of Australia and is now even calling on Prime Minister Scott Morrison (53) himself.

The rules apply to everyone

As reported, among other things, by “The Guardian”., he said at a press conference on Saturday when asked about the relevant tour article: “The rules say that you have to be fully vaccinated. They apply to everyone, as people have seen lately.” It doesn’t matter who you are. You can only come if you meet the Australian requirements.

But is West really not vaccinated yet? His status is not officially known. Although he explained that he had received a vaccination dose and was infected. In other interviews, however, he made disparaging remarks about the vaccinations against Covid-19 and spread conspiracy theories. Among other things, he told “Forbes” magazine: “They want to implant us with microchips and do everything possible to prevent us from entering heaven.”
