Kanye West: Is he out of the presidential race yet again?

Is Kanye West's Campaign Ending Again? The rapper is said to have dropped out of the White House race.

According to a media report, rapper Kanye West (43, "Yeezus") has withdrawn from the White House race – just a few days after the announcement that he wanted to become US President. A member of his campaign team, Steve Kramer, is quoted by Intelligencer, a news site of the New York magazine, as saying, "He's out." He gave no reasons for the alleged withdrawal.

West announced at the beginning of July that he wanted to run for president. "We must now recognize America's promise by trusting God, uniting our vision, and building our future. I am running for President of the United States," it said in its statement on Twitter. To do this, he set the hashtag "# 2020VISION".

Only two percent for West

West initially received prominent support for his plans, Tesla boss Elon Musk (49) was among his followers. The rapper then wanted to appoint the entrepreneur to "head our space program" should he move into the White House. "Forbes," West later said of his candidacy: "If I win in 2020, it will be God's appointment." However, a new poll had just shown that only two percent of voters would vote for Kim Kardashian's husband (39).
