After around seven years of marriage, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West want to get a divorce. The rapper has now applied for joint custody.

Kim Kardashian (40) and Kanye West (43, “Power”) have been married since May 2014, but in February it was officially announced that the marriage was about to end. Reality TV star and businesswoman Kardashian filed for divorce. The rapper should now demand joint custody of the children. Amongst other things the US magazine “People” should have appropriate court documents.

Kardashian and West agree

Kardashian and West have daughters North, 7, and Chicago, 3, and sons Saint, 5, and Psalm, who will turn two in May. In addition to joint custody, West wanted neither of the two sides to be awarded spousal support. Neither the successful rapper nor the entrepreneur, whose fortune has recently been estimated at around one billion US dollars by “Forbes” magazine, probably need financial support.

According to media reports, Kardashian had previously also requested in the submitted papers that the two sides should share custody and each waive spousal support. As with Kardashian in February, West also stated “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the divorce.
