The French striker reached, Saturday, January 8, the bar of 300 goals scored in the jersey of Merengues after converting a penalty kick in the 43rd minute of the game against Valencia, counting for the twentieth day of La Liga. Fourth top scorer in club history, Karim Benzema is only eight goals away from legend Alfredo di Stéfano (308 goals).
The first two places are occupied by Raul (323 goals) and Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, now at Manchester United, who sits on this ranking with a total of 451 goals. The native of Bron, in the suburbs of Lyon, has long been criticized for his lack of goals at Real Madrid, but has now won the hearts of “Madrid” supporters.
The first goal of “KB9” at Real dates back to September 29, 2009, during the third day of La Liga against Jerez, when the French had just landed in the Spanish capital from Olympique Lyonnais. An idyllic relationship ensued with the club in the 13 Champions Leagues.

This season, Benzema has 21 goals and twelve assists in 25 matches in all competitions, far ahead of the twelve goals from Vinicius or the seven from Marco Asensio, Real’s two other top scorers this season behind him.
