Karim Benzema, victim of burglaries in 2019 and 2022, would have been by a high Albanian personality.
Arrested last week thanks in particular to Interpol, the so-called Alfred Prodani would be at the origin of a theft at Karim Benzema on February 27, 2019 and in January 2022, told the Spanish press. This senior Albanian government official has been director of the public water company in the Kurbin region for nine years.
Thanks to the Albanian police and Interpol, he could therefore be arrested, and the evidence would be “irrefutable”. Since 2013, Prodani has indeed carried out nearly 40 burglaries in Spain.
The protagonist denies for the moment being at the origin of this burglary, while the court of Corunna has opened proceedings against him.
In Albania, the case caused a stir. Opponents of the government were quick to react. “He stole Benzema and they made him manager. If he manages to steal Messi, they will appoint him minister,” said Kreshnik Spahiu, leader of the Red and Black Alliance, an Albanian nationalist party.
