Karl-Heinz Vosgerau is dead. The star from TV series such as "Traumschiff" and "Derrick" died on January 4th at the age of 93.

The German TV landscape has to say goodbye to one of its most versatile stars. Actor Karl-Heinz Vosgerau, as his wife Sabine has now confirmed to "Bild", died on January 4th at the age of 93. "I haven't come to terms with the fact that I had to let him go now," said the widow. "The only consolation: I was at his house when he left."

Vosgerau began his long career at the drama school in Kiel and appeared for the first time in a play in 1948, followed by his film debut in 1956 in "Das Dorf in der Heide". His many professional positions included "Die Schwarzwaldklinik", in which he played Professor Breeken in several episodes.

He also took part in three issues of "Traumschiff" and was seen in individual episodes of "Der Alte", "Ein Fall für Zwei" or "Derrick" alongside Horst Tappert (1923-2008). He had his last appearance in front of the camera in 2007 in "Inga Lindström – Emma Svensson und die Liebe".
