THE SPORT SCAN – The Automobile Club of Italy has revoked Russian driver Artem Severiukhin’s license with which he was racing following his “unspeakable and unacceptable” gesture.
The gesture of Artem Severiukhin, a 15-year-old Russian karting driver strongly suspected of having given a Nazi salute on a Portimão last weekend, caused an outcry in the world of motorsport. The Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile immediately opened an investigation into the driving deemed “unacceptablefrom the driver, dropped by his team, Ward Racing.
The Automobile Club of Italy, for its part, convened an extraordinary meeting to examine the case of the Russian who drives under an Italian license.
