After a lengthy hospital stay, actress Kate Beckinsale celebrated her red carpet comeback in New York City on Thursday, May 2, 2024.
“It’s been a tough year”
“It’s been a tough year,” she told People magazine, adding, “Because my parents were both sick and my cat… It was a whole bunch of things.” That’s why it’s “nice to come here and see friends and have a little perspective,” said Beckinsale. “I think everyone has had a bit of a difficult year,” she bravely added.
Kate Beckinsale celebrates a comeback in an organza dream dress
Kate Beckinsale wore an elaborate off-the-shoulder white organza dress with a wavy texture from shoulder to hem for her red carpet comeback. The bodice of the robe only covered part of her torso, leaving her waist visible. The dress’s skirt was layered, with the voluminous fabric falling in one direction to create a high leg slit. The London native paired it with white platform peep-toes and an emerald green bejeweled clutch that perfectly matched her bright manicure. The toenails were painted dark. When it came to jewelry, Beckinsale chose single-row diamond earrings and diamond rings.

She emphasized her eye area with dark tones and shimmering eyeshadow. Nude lip gloss and an updo accessorized with an oversized black bow completed the eye-catching look. Beckinsale last hit the red carpet in February, when she arrived at the SAG-AFTRA Awards in a hip-hugging silver dress. Before that, she wore another silver ensemble to the Golden Globes on January 7.

Other guests at Thursday night’s star-studded event included John Legend and Chrissy Teigen, Penélope Cruz, Rita Ora, Kate Moss and the evening’s co-chair, Lionel Richie, who is a global ambassador for the King’s Trust and chair of the Global Ambassadors Group.
