This Thursday, May 4, two days before the coronation of Charles III, Kate and William were seen in the London Underground before drinking a pint of cider in the Soho district. For the occasion, Kate Middleton had bet on a long vermilion coat that hardly went unnoticed.
Less than two days before the coronation, the final preparations are taking place. But for Kate and William, it’s time to relax! Like other members of the royal family, the Cambridges spent a rather hectic week, punctuated by rehearsals for the big day. This Thursday, they therefore granted themselves a short outing in the heart of London, abandoning, the story of a few hours, the titanic program that awaits them. Kate and William took the Elizabeth line, inaugurated in May 2022 and renamed in tribute to the late monarch, and spoke to London Underground workers to find out how they would handle this colorful weekend. Then they went to the Soho district, and more specifically to the Dog and Duck pub, where they sipped a pint of cider while chatting with local merchants to get, once again, their impressions of the few days ahead.
A day under the sign of good humor, since Kate and William appeared very relaxed, and in particular in the pub, where William showed signs of a slight relaxation, according to the Mirror. “William was quick to get in the mood after asking for a pint of his favorite drink, the Cider. They were tempted by the vodka but preferred something safer and were both given a pint of cider“, indicates the newspaper before adding: “At one point he appeared to be talking about a night out with former England footballer Wayne Rooney, but soon realized he risked relaxing too much with the media by his side and said he must not forget to stay focused on his work”.
Kate Middleton and Prince William in a flashy coat and unbuttoned collar
Proof of his relaxation, Prince William displayed a blue shirt a tad more unbuttoned than usual. Kate, meanwhile, looked as elegant as ever in a white dress paired with pristine heels, all enhanced by a long vermilion coat that stood out for miles around.
