Kate Middleton joined other members of the royal family, like her stepfather, to whom she is very close, Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla Parker Bowles. Countess Sophie of Wessex also looked lovely in a pink Valentino dress. She arrived a little earlier in the day. Among the first arrivals, we could count the presence of the son of the Duchess of Cornwall, Tom Parker Bowles, as well as his sister Laura Lopes. All these beautiful people were able to attend the investiture of the new knights of the Queen’s Garter Day, among whom Camilla Parler Bowles.

Prince Andrew, still an outcast
If all these members of the royal family were therefore present, one of them was conspicuous by his absence. Andrew will indeed not be seen in public during Garter Day, one of the most colorful events on the royal calendar, after the Prince of Wales and the Duke of Cambridge reportedly lobbied the Queen for his attendance regardless. He will still be allowed to attend the investiture and lunch that day, but will not be part of the procession or service.
