Kate Middleton radiant even in the pouring rain with Prince William in the Bahamas

We left the masterful Duchess of Cambridge in a turquoise blue dress, in the colors of the Bahamas… Here she is again, much more natural, and in the rain! For their first official visit to the Bahamas, Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton were invited to visit a local school, which welcomed them with a colorful parade. Problem: the weather was not very good, since a driving rain was invited when they arrived.

Professional, the British couple acted as if nothing had happened, the lovers showing themselves smiling under umbrellas. The Duchess even laughed it off in her speech, apologizing for “brought back the english rain“with them, and hoping that the children had not”not too wetto come meet them.

She also thanked the staff and students for their warm welcome and their gifts: a child from the school notably offered them a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, whose 70th anniversary they are currently celebrating. They were then received by caregivers, whose resistance has been severely tested over the past two years during the Covid-19 pandemic.

For this rainy day during which she conquered Bahamian hearts, Kate Middleton had chosen a pale green dress from the British brand Self-Portrait, associated with white pumps with low heels Jimmy Choo. For her jewelry, as often, she had decided to pay tribute to local designers: she therefore chose earrings by the artist Nadia Irena Campbell.

This stay in the Bahamas is part of a week-long tour of the Caribbean: Kate and William first started their trip in Belize, before a stopover in Jamaica and finally in the Bahamas, three Commonwealth countries, which will also celebrate the Platinum Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II, early June. The couple, on the other hand, came without their children: George, 8, Charlotte, 6 and Louis, soon to be 4, remained in London with their lifelong nanny, Maria Borallo.
