Kate Middleton: when the Duchess of Cambridge accidentally reveals her secret code name
Kate Middleton and Prince William use code names when traveling or in personal situations to avoid attracting attention, according to L’Express. If you are curious about their misnomers, you will find the answer in the article.
In the eyes of the whole world, they are the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, when it is not Prince William and Kate Middleton. Subject to international notoriety, the parents of George, Charlotte and Louis probably dream, sometimes, of regaining the anonymity of ordinary mortals. The task is arduous, of course, but certain details are thought out to improve their rare moments of privacy, such as code names. Used during trips or for simple daily needs, these fake surnames are extremely useful to avoid attracting attention. But then, what are they, you ask yourself. According to the Express, the Duchess of Cambridge is known as Daphne Clark when she travels, while Prince William goes by the name Danny Collins. Relatively basic names that still have a common feature: they both respond to the initials DC, which also designate Duke / Duchess of Cambridge.
Kate Middleton: this time when we did not recognize her in public
These codenames having been revealed in the media, it is unlikely that they will still be used today, but the Crown can be counted on for its many resources. Indeed, Daphne Clark isn’t the only nickname the Duchess has used in the past. In 2010, while shopping at a shoe store, Kate Middleton had to give her name to complete an order, and although she was not yet married to William at the time, the latter indicated : “Miss Cambridge“According to a witness at the scene, the store owner had no idea who he was in front of.”He looked her straight in the eye and remarked that it was quite an unusual last name.“, told the latter to the Mail on Sunday, in 2012. “He had no idea who she was. She just smiled and said she would be back. He hasn’t forgotten her since..”
