Kate + William: Charlotte could get this Royal title

Charlotte can call two titles her own, because she was born on May 2, 2015 as Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte of Cambridge (in German: Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte of Cambridge). A third title could be added in a few years.

Princess Charlotte could be the next Princess Royal

Princess Royal is one of the most famous titles in the royal family. It can (but does not have to) be given by the incumbent monarch to his eldest daughter. So one day Charlotte could enjoy it and be called Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal.

Princess Anne currently holds the title. She received it from Queen Elizabeth in 1987 for her outstanding social engagement, particularly in favor of starving children in the world and for young people with disabilities in the UK.

Once awarded, Princess Royal cannot be revoked; that is, the title is carried over for life. It is so official that Anne is listed on the royal website not under her name but under Princess Royal.

These conditions are linked to the title

For Charlotte, there are three conditions for receiving Princess Royal: 1. William must be king. 2. Charlotte must earn the title in her father's eyes. 3. Princess Anne must have died because only one woman from the family can be the Princess Royal.

Charlotte would be the eighth Princess Royal in UK history in the event of an incident. The footsteps Anne will leave behind are great: she is one of the most diligent employees of the royal family and is committed to over 300 charities, organizations and military regiments in Great Britain and overseas.
