In late February 2022, TV actress Katerina Jacob, 64, made it public that she had five benign but large breast lumps. Half a breast was removed as a precaution. Since then, the former “Bull von Tölz” star has been taking his Instagram followers on a challenging journey. According to “Bild”, she had to spend the last “six months” “more or less in the house”.

Although Katerina Jacob has benign tumors in her breasts, they grew very quickly. There is therefore a risk “that a newcomer could become malicious,” she told “Bild” in February. As a preventive measure, the doctors recommended chemotherapy – one of the reasons Jacob hasn’t left the house for months.

“I’d love to sit outside with friends, but the chemo poses a risk that I’ll get unsightly skin irritations that can last a long time. I can’t have visitors in my house,” explains Katerina in the “Bild” interview. You are also “concerned about contagion with Corona”. The voice actress could “really not use that.”

Jacobs has a big goal

She also lets her community participate in her health struggle on Instagram. To a picture that shows Katerina Jacobs longingly looking out of the window of her house on Lake Starnberg, she writes: “I’m not allowed in the sun”. It’s been like this for half a year. She can also no longer taste as good as a result of the chemo.

And how does the native of Munich distract herself from all this? “I read a lot, only go out to swim in the evenings,” says Jacob, who nevertheless looks positively to the future: “It’s good. I can now do things that I never had time for before.”

Katerina also has a goal for the time when she can leave the house as usual: the actress wants to be “on her feet again” by the time the third part of the TV series “Anna and her subtenant” is filmed in October .
