There she shows a picture of her foot, around which she has wrapped a cold pack. “Fortunately, the swelling has already subsided,” she writes. Previously she had in a video message, which can be seen on the RTL website, explains: “I walk around here with an ice pack around my ankle all day.” Otherwise it’ll itch so much that she can’t control herself.

“These bacteria are really nasty”

During the night Burkard scratched the affected area “bloody. That’s why I’m not showing you that, because it looks so bad”. The moderator warns: “If you have such a sting, take it seriously – something can develop from it. These bacteria are really nasty.” The fans should especially take care of their children.

Burkard had to take antibiotics for six days. Nevertheless, she was not deterred from taking part in the German TV Prize on September 16. In her stories she posted impressions – including from the preparations and on site in Cologne.
