In the interview after the "Celebrity Big Brother" exit, Katy Bähm does not give ex-roommate Simone Mecky-Ballack good hair.
Drag queen Katy Bähm (28), whose real name is Burak Bildik, narrowly missed the finale of this year's season of "Celebrity Big Brother". It was sixth. In Märchenland, Bähm was particularly noticeable because of the trouble with Simone Mecky-Ballack (44). There were also misunderstandings with Elene Lucia Ameur (26). In an interview with the news agency spot on news, Katy Bähm settles accounts with her ex-roommates.
Are you relieved or disappointed not to be in the final?
Katy Bähm: Partly, partly. Of course I would have liked to have been in the final, but I was really happy to come out and finally be able to eat something decent again. That already sapped my strength. On my last day all we had was oatmeal and a piece of bread. Otherwise we had nothing to eat. From that I was quite relieved, more than if I had to leave earlier.
You got into an argument more than once in Wonderland. Were your nerves on edge?
Um: Of course, my nerves were a bit bare. But I mainly gave back to people what they provoked. I was never the starting point of an argument. For example with Ella (Elene Lucia Ameur, note by the editor) – I got on so well with her. I took care of her, I sat in the bathtub with her because she wanted to, I built her up and tried to keep in touch with her all the time so that she's kind of busy. If you didn't keep her busy, you had the feeling that she was a little crazy inside. When she said who was there for her and who wasn't, I felt betrayed by her. I was disappointed and felt ripped off from front to back. I then tried to talk to her, which she refused and we all realized that Ella needs psychological help. Werner and Kathy also asked them about it. But no matter what we did, it was always wrong.
And how was it with Simone Mecky-Ballack?
Um: That was so entertaining. Before our argument around the campfire, I had no problem with her at all. I apologized for our misunderstanding at the wall, that was resolved. But she had already blasphemed about me before what several residents of the castle said to me. Then she freaked out at the campfire. As she left, she complained: "You're the most annoying person. You piss me off all the time. You always put yourself in the foreground." She is the nation's fake snake to me. She didn't even try to talk to me beforehand. She always smiled fakely in my face and made fun of mommy. Then my collar popped off. I then called her "Madame". Is that such a bad word? I just thought, "What's broken in your head?" It was only five centimeters missing and she would have popped me. I would have liked to have allowed that too, then you would have seen what kind of character she has. Wouldn't have been bad for the station either. But some intervened.
After moving out, Simone Mecky-Ballack stated that she had "concluded with you". Is that the same for you or do you want to clarify something?
Um: she was so fake, I won't talk to her anymore. I thought we were on a good level, she even said I was as cute as Olaf from "The Ice Queen" and wanted to invite me over. But on the day when Werner gave me the nomination protection and it was announced, she rolled her eyes and said: "Yes, of course, you have to push yourself to the fore again!" Her reaction showed me how she really felt about me. I'm done with this woman. It is unbeatable in fakeness.
Will you be seen without make-up in public more often in the future?
Um: I had no way of putting on make-up in fairytale land, even if I wanted to. That was also a little detox for my skin. I probably haven't had a beard like this in three or four years. I like that, but Katy is my job and my source of income. Therefore I will of course continue to be seen as a drag queen. I keep posting the before-and-after comparison of Burak to Katy on Instagram. But I am the same person and show myself in public depending on how I feel. There are no fixed guidelines for me.
Who do you grant victory to?
Um: I give the win to Ikke or Kathy the most because they were the most authentic to me the whole time. In Märchenland I would definitely have said Werner, but the fact that he nominated me, although he said before that I was on the safe side with him, hit me and shocked me too.
