Katy Perry is throwing herself back into her music career.

Katy Perry is releasing a new single after finishing her stint as a judge on “American Idol.” The song is called “Woman’s World.”
About four years after her last record, Katy Perry (39) is back with new music. In recent years, the singer has concentrated on her Las Vegas show, her work as a jury member in the US version of “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” (“American Idol”) and her daughter Daisy (3).
The “I Kissed A Girl” chart-topper shows herself on her official Instagram account in a white micro bikini with steel robot legs. In the caption she reveals the title of her new song – “Woman’s World” – as well as the date on which it will be released as a single: July 11th. The accompanying music video will be released a day later.
Perry’s last studio album is “Smile” from 2020. Since then, collaborations with Swedish DJ Alesso (32) and American singer Thomas Rhett (34) have followed. It is not yet known what her new album will be called or when it will be released.
Reunion after a tearful farewell
The partner of actor Orlando Bloom (47) recently shed tears when she was on stage for the last time for the finale of this year’s “American Idol” season. She was a judge on the American casting show for around six years, from seasons 16 to 22. She announced her departure at the beginning of the year on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” with the words, among others: “I want to travel the world and maybe release new music.”
Perry joined the “American Idol” team alongside Lionel Richie (74) and country singer Luke Bryan (47). The US television station ABC has not yet announced who will fill the jury seats in 2025.
